Troye Sivan Covers V MAGAZINE!
Troye Sivan is undoubtedly one of our favorite musical acts to date and definitely one to watch as this year rolls into its final stretch. The once YouTube vlogger/crooner can now be seen on one of a set of two covers for V Magazine's September Fashion & Music issue, on stands September 1st.
The issue features a series of editorials shot by brilliant photographer, Mario Testino, and styled by Paul Cavaco. For his part, Troye radiates high fashion glamour alongside IMG model, Taylor Hill, in a spread littered with designer pieces from Givenchy, Alexander MCQueen and Giorgio Armani, just to name a few.
Inside the mag, interviewer, Nick Remsen talks openly with Troye about his YouTube beginnings, his cheery upbringing in Perth, and of course his sexuality. The now 18 year old Troye's openly gay lifestyle has a significant impact on his music, and can most especially be heard through his lyrics. Remsen write's "Gay experience informs much of what Sivan does, both on his social media channels and in his singing and songwriting, but it never feels too overt or too nail-on-the-head. He’s just a young person, having fun and exploring life, as young people, gay or straight, will forever do."
A true testament to the millennial youth of today, Troye represents a brighter generation of eclectic 20-somethings who are steadily showing the world a new kind of normal.
