Once upon a time, way back when, and way before the internet, people were brought together by their common network of acquaintances and sometimes, with a stroke of luck, could become great friends . Now, in an age where technology has taken over, all it takes is a click and a like to connect with people you otherwise never thought you would or could.
This is seemingly the case and story of top model and social media prince,Luka Sabbat, who through the modern wizardry of social media came across the twitter account of young artist, Noah Dillon. A random surf which would spark a creative friendship and artistic partnership resulting in what they call, HOT MESS.
If the title has you going... What? Stay calm and don't jump to conclusions. Actually HOT MESS is the title of creative work cultivated by the teen duo. The work, which as a whole presents to be a photo exhibition, debuted on February 8th during New York Fashion Week at Milk Studios in New York City. Its run is through February 11th and like all good collaborations is no less than magnificent.
HOT MESS not only gives us photography, but features music by Frank Ocean, film, and sculpture. As a whole, the exhibit tells the story of real people. Having been cast through social media and plucked from real world obscurity; HOT MESS depicts a chosen bunch of today's millennial youth who live by their own rule and don't just fiend for attention, but crave visibility.
